About Rae Torrie
- I qualified as a reflexologist over 25 years ago, completing a year-long Certificate of Reflexology, and have been a professional member of Reflexology New Zealand since. That was the start! I love seeing the impact of reflexology on clients and experiencing it myself.
- As a lifelong learner, I embrace new reflexology developments and literature, and attend numerous conferences and post-graduate workshops. I integrate this learning into my practice, delving into this toolbox to focus my treatment.
- My most recent post-graduate training has been: - 2026 Reflexology and Oncology Care with Gretel Spiegel - 2025 Menopause and Reflexology with Barbara Scott - 2024 Ear reflexology with Karen Middleton.
- A sample of previous training includes praxis vertebralis, chi reflexology, cranio-sacral reflexology, ayurvedic reflexology, maternity reflexology and reflexology lymph drainage. I have a passion for better evidence of the efficacy of reflexology. This means both tracking change (noticing and recording the changes that clients experience) and noticing ‘what works’ (seeking to understand the types of reflexology that work best for different conditions, in what circumstances, and what it is that makes the difference). I moved to Paekākāriki from Wellington, and established my practice here in July 2024.
